Detailed manual for the BroadcastMySelf interface.

1 Step 1: Configuring Server Connection

Initial Connection

  • • Select Icecast, Shoutcast v1, or Shoutcast v2.
  • • Enter Host, Port, and Password provided by your host.
  • • Tap Test Connection. If it fails twice, use Skip.

Language & Setup

The app automatically detects your system language (12+ supported). Follow the wizard to calibrate audio.

2 Step 2: Monitoring the Dashboard

Status Indicators

  • ● ON AIR : Connected and streaming.
  • ● RECORDING : Saving to local file.
  • Latency Dots: Green (<100ms) vs Red (>300ms).

Free vs Premium

  • Free Users: See a 3-hour streaming limit timer.
  • Premium Users: Unlimited streaming and auto-reconnect.

Controls

  • Record: Tap twice to stop.
  • Loop: Off / One / All.

5 Step 5: Troubleshooting Common Issues

Connection Rejected

Ensure your server allows the current bitrate. If using Shoutcast v1, the ID must be '1'. Check if another source is already connected to the same mount point.

Audio Distorts / Clips

Lower the 'Source Gain' in settings. Watch the VU meters—if they hit the far right, you are in the red zone. Use the Limiter effect in the DSP console.
